Apparently the father of Draco Malfoy was trying to sabotage the education of the mage and friend of Harry Potter for his condition of dirty blood, with the aim of not highlighting at Hogwarts.
According to Obversa , web user, in 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' Lucius Malfoy detested that his son studied with the young mage and tried to change many rules of the school so that Hermione did not emphasize, such as limiting the maximum of Classes that students could take.
